GRAND OPENING MICRO-FOLIE
On the occasion of the official inauguration of the Micro-Folie in Port-de-Bouc, the Fernand Léger Arts Centre was transformed into a living and luminous stage through an immersive video mapping performance conceived and produced by CREATIV LIGHT. An original artistic creation celebrating the venue, its mission, and the residents who bring it to life.
As night fell, the audience witnessed a poetic transformation of the building, symbolising both the opening of a new cultural chapter in Port-de-Bouc and the union of artistic heritage, popular culture, and technological innovation.

What Is a Micro-Folie?

Initiated by La Villette and supported by the French Ministry of Culture, a Micro-Folie is an innovative and modular cultural space. It includes a Digital Museum, showcasing masterpieces from major national institutions, as well as a virtual reality area, a FabLab, and dedicated spaces for workshops and community gatherings.
The Micro-Folie programme is driven by a commitment to making art, culture, and creativity accessible to all.
In Port-de-Bouc, the Micro-Folie is housed in a landmark venue: the Fernand Léger Arts Centre, a long-standing cultural institution and a vibrant hub for local artistic practice.
A Mapping Tribute to the Venue, the Artists, and the Audience
The project created for the inauguration of the Micro-Folie was conceived as a collective and sensitive work. Developed in close dialogue with the history of the Fernand Léger Arts Centre, its exhibitions and artists. As well as the works of Fernand Léger himself, whose powerful language of colour and form inspired several visual sequences, the creation also integrated the visual arts workshops conducted with local residents: children, adults, and families.
The performance blended vibrant abstraction, animated geometric forms, subtle references to Cubism, and choreographed movements of lines and textures inspired by local artistic creations, oscillating between dreamlike atmospheres and modernity.

A Defining Feature of This Creation
Drawings created during the visual arts workshops organised in the weeks leading up to the event were integrated into the video mapping scenography.
The participants’ graphic creations adorned, animated, and brought the façade of the Arts Centre to life, becoming projected artworks in the public space
